Prefab Skid & Pipe Packages

Ironworks Welding delivers turnkey prefab skid and pipe packages designed to reduce field labor, shorten project timelines, and control costs.

Reduced Labor

Less welding and assembly in the field improves safety and lowers labor costs.

Faster Installation

Skids arrive assembled, tested, and ready for tie-in,  minimizing downtime.

Improved Quality

Fabrication and testing are completed in a controlled shop environment.

Predictable Costs

In-house assembly reduces schedule risk and change orders.

How It Works

Ironworks Welding manages the entire prefab skid assembly process in-house from initial engineering review through final delivery. By controlling every stage of fabrication and assembly, we ensure consistent quality, predictable timelines, and seamless field integration for oil and gas facilities.

1. Engineering Review & Planning

Our team reviews drawings, specifications, and process requirements to ensure each skid is designed for constructability, transport, and installation. We collaborate closely with clients and engineers to resolve issues early and optimize the build.

2. Fabrication & Welding

All structural steel, piping, and pressure components are fabricated in our certified facility using robotic and manual welding. Components are built to spec and inspected throughout the fabrication phase.

3. Mechanical & Electrical Assembly

Piping, valves, manifolds, supports, and equipment are fully installed on the skid. When required, electrical and automation components are integrated to deliver a complete, ready-to-connect system.

4. Testing & Quality Control

Each skid undergoes pressure testing, dimensional checks, and QA/QC inspections prior to shipment. Documentation is compiled to support compliance and smooth field commissioning.

5. Delivery & Field Support

Completed skids are prepared for transport and delivered to site. Ironworks provides field support for tie-ins, installation, and startup to ensure seamless integration.

Pipe Fabrication & Integration

Ironworks Welding delivers precision pipe fabrication and integration as a core component of every prefab skid package. All piping systems are fabricated to approved specifications, welded by certified professionals, and inspected throughout the process to ensure safety, performance, and long-term reliability in oil and gas operations.

Our pipe fabrication process includes:

Certified Welding Procedures:

Welding performed to approved WPS/PQRs by qualified welders, including manual and robotic welding where applicable.

Material Control & Traceability:

Verification of pipe size, wall thickness, material grade, and heat numbers prior to fabrication.

Dimensional & Fit-Up Inspection:

Ongoing checks to ensure proper alignment, slope, and support placement during assembly.

Start to finish

Pressure Testing:

Hydrostatic or pneumatic testing is performed to code and customer requirements prior to shipment.

Non-Destructive Examination (NDT):

Visual inspection and additional NDT methods applied as required by code or project scope.

QA/QC Documentation:

Complete records compiled for weld maps, test results, and inspection reports.
